Thanks - that made my day.
College of Charleston!!!!!! That one loss makes up for the two wins against NCSU.
All the Carolina fans around here aren't quite as vocal as they usually are. Nice change from most Februaries.
Can anyone say sense of entitlement?
All those boys thought just putting on that blue uniform would win games for them. Guees not... How many do you think will leave after this year?

I think Ed Davis is likely gone, but we shall see. Other than that, I don't see the pros wanting anyone early off that squad.

Ol Roy is pretty quick to throw his players under the bus.

At least K was smart enough to "fake" his back injury.

Somewhere there is a recording of Norm Sloan's wife singing the National Anthem - but I don't want to hear it!

Hey you two--any sense of how ECarU is doing? Greenville or some such--sorry, I shud know; one of my dearest friends/colleagues has been there for years, and often speaks of CofCharles...my only entry to your conversation, but it struck a cord.

Not sure how ECU is doing, but I am sure they have more losses than wins. They have always been more of a football school.
Actually they are hated by NC State fans almost as much as UNC is. It all stems from when they did a lot of damage following a football game back in 1989. (Don't quote me on the year, I just remember it happening when I was just about out of school.) They tore up a bunch of stuff at Carter-Finley Stadium and then we didn't play them for a very long time. Now they are the one team, other than UNC, that I always want NCSU to not only beat, but BEAT DOWN!!!

Tell, do you mean East Carolina University in Greenville, NC? I got family there - Parker's Barbecue

Can't answer re the Pirates' season, but Terry Holland is their AD. He played for Lefty Driesel at Davidson (Lefty, in turn known mostly as Maryland's coach, played at Duke in the 50s) and then was the coach at UVa during the Ralph Sampson years (and they never won it all - as dogs can tell you, last two losses were to the Cardiac Pack in '83).

When I was in college, Elon '88, we used to go to Greenville, NC for Halloween festivities. It was one of the best parties in all of Carolina. Nowadays I just coattail the Virginia Tech Hokies. In 30 minutes the beatdown on Boston College commences!

Dogs/BD: yep, that's it! Not sure, but assume he just likes CofChar, and visits there for seminars and such...I realized they are far apart in your E world distances...

I have actually never been though, BD; he's invited me a few times, but as you know I have a hard time getting round these days...visited him at UofGA with the bulldogs and all, and in Athens/Augusta, just loved the area...talk about BBQue! It was an eye opener for a CA boy, though I regularly started humming the theme to Deliverance!

Charleston and Savannah are really pretty and interesting cities; it would make for a nice long weekend/week travel. I'm thinking of heading back that way over July 4th time for two shows by drivin n cryin at the windjammer on Isle of Palms which is just outside Charleston. it will be humid as hell(not like the fog that has made me a wimp here on the central coast)

Humid in Charleston in the Summer?
I do not believe it.

Actually I do remember seeing something a long time ago that this area of the country (North & South Carolina) in the most humid part of the US. Gotta love those days when it is 90degrees at 11:00pm with 95% humidity.

That wa when it was good.
There was always a Wednesday night game and that was the only game you could see all week. Made it much more special. I would watch the whole game regardless who was playing. Nowadays I can't remember when I actually did watch a whole game from start to finish. Now it's all about flipping to something else on the comercials. Back then to switch the channel you actually had to get up off the couch and walk over to the TV.
Oh nostalgia...

One thing I did notice about the first montage: The kid who posted it list himself as graduating in '12... Man I feel old.

Yea, watching Glenn Rice's kid play for Ga Tech makes me feel old since I was in Seattle for the Final Four in '89 when Michigan took it all.

Cmon man give us a break. I do find it amusing that even when the Heels suck reallly bad they are still relavant and can manage to head up a thread when no one else can. Harrison Barnes cant save this cluster.

You can't honestly ask me to give it a break and dogs doesn't have a whole lot to cheer with El Sid these days. I do actually feel bad for some of the kids, but not for Ol' Roy. If Ed Davis goes, they got troubles coming.

This is just more fodder for the best rivalry in all of sports (yea, looking at you Red Sox-Yankees folks)
